A warm welcome to DJ&MC
The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (DJMC), University of Calicut, a frontrunner amongst University teaching and research departments for Mass Communication in Kerala, offers an intellectually vibrant and technologically advanced environment for studies and research in Mass Communication and allied areas. Through a diversified curriculum covering print and electronic media, digital and data journalism, film, and culture studies the department aims to improve human condition by promoting knowledge in communication studies and creating critical minds.Apart from offering training in ever-changing multi-media technologies and content creation techniques, the department through its courses promotes understanding of media and communication to generate critical media literacy and address ethical concerns in media operations.
